IMP Aerospace wins the Snowbird maintenance services contract
HALIFAX, Feb. 21, 2012 /CNW/ - IMP Group Limited, Aerospace Division announced today that it has been awarded a contract to conduct maintenance activities on the Royal Canadian Air Force (RCAF) fleet of 25 CT-114 Tutor aircraft. The CT-114 Tutor is the aircraft flown by Canada's Snowbird aerobatic team - a national icon with its distinctive red and white paint scheme symbolizing our national flag.
The three-year contract is valued at 5.75 million dollars and includes options for up to seven additional years of work. The primary contract activity is the maintenance inspection and repair on ten CT-114 Tutors each year. The work will be completed at 8 Wing in Trenton, Ontario, and will employ approximately 20 individuals including technicians, support and management personnel.
