Imvescor Restaurant Group holds annual shareholder meeting
MONCTON, NB, March 9, 2012 /CNW/ - Imvescor Restaurant Group Inc. ("IRG" or the "Company") (TSX: IRG), held its annual general meeting of shareholders (the "Meeting") today, March 9, 2012. Shareholders of the Company elected seven directors to its board of directors, including six existing directors and one new director. Shareholders also re-appointed KPMG LLP as the Company's auditors.
Approximately 17.0 million shares, representing approximately 40.4% of the outstanding shares of the Company, were voted by proxy or in person at the Meeting.
Shareholders elected Ron D. Barbaro, Robb Chase, Francois Gauvin, Monique Imbeault, Joe Marsilii, Bradley Martin and Denis Richard as directors of IRG. "I look forward to working with the members of the board of IRG and wish, on behalf of all members, to sincerely thank outgoing director Pierre-Yves Julien for his significant contribution to the Company, especially in connection with our recent refinancing transactions" said Bradley Martin, the new Chairman of the board of directors.
The Company also announced the appointment of Ming-Ming Wong as the new Chief Financial Officer of the Company. Ms Wong had been acting as interim Chief Financial Officer since May 2011 and has been Vice President Finance for the previous 7 years.
