MONTREAL, Feb. 7, 2012 /CNW Telbec/ - The Quebec English School Boards Association (QESBA) is pleased, on behalf of school commissioners across the province to be releasing this statement of utmost appreciation to the 8000 dedicated teachers throughout Québec that serve English-language students on a daily basis.
"A teacher affects eternity; he can never tell where his influence stops." - Henry Brooks Adams. "Students from the four corners of the province are affected by a teacher on a daily basis, how many times do we hear an inspirational story that is based on a childhood memory of a teacher who really took the time," said David D'Aoust, QESBA President.
"The talent and inspiration they present, ultimately, offer a bright future to the 105,000 students in the English-language network that will one day serve our communities and this province. "We, as school board representatives, should thank the teams of teachers that we work with on a daily basis," said D'Aoust. "Afterall, they are responsible for guiding some of our most important people, our students."
Québec's Teacher Appreciation Week is from February 5 - 11, 2012. To our teachers and their classroom support team members from across the province, QESBA joins parents, students, fellow employees and school board members in saying thank you for what you do -- this week and, more importantly, every week to make our English education system one of the best around the world.
"The annual Teacher Appreciation Week is an important time for us to underline the service teachers selflessly give each and every day," concluded D'Aoust.
QESBA is the voice of English public education in Québec.
