QUÉBEC CITY, Nov. 7, 2012 /CNW Telbec/ - Industrial Alliance Insurance and Financial Services Inc. ("Industrial Alliance" or the "Company") announced today the establishment of a Dividend Reinvestment and Share Purchase Plan (the "Plan") for its common shareholders. The Plan will allow participants to have their dividend payments automatically reinvested in Industrial Alliance common shares, as well as to make cash purchases of additional Industrial Alliance common shares.
Under the Plan, the Company may purchase common shares on the open market or issue them from treasury. At this time, the Company intends to issue the shares from treasury at a 2% discount to the average market price for the five trading days preceding the dividend payment date. There is no cost to common shareholders to participate in the Plan.
The first dividend to be eligible under the Plan will be paid on December 17, 2012 to shareholders of record on November 23, 2012. Enrollment forms for the Plan must be received by our Plan Agent, Computershare Trust Company of Canada, no later than 4 PM (Toronto time) on November 16, 2012.
The Offering Circular and enrollment form will be mailed to the Company's registered shareholders on or about November 7th, 2012. Non-registered or beneficial shareholders should contract their broker, investment dealer, financial institution or other nominee who holds their shares for details on how to enroll in the Plan.
Only common shareholders who reside in Canada will be eligible to participate in the Plan.
