Infiniti Canada Records Eighth Consecutive Monthly Sales Increase For 2010
- Best August Ever For Infiniti as Nissan Canada Inc. Reports August Sales Results -
MISSISSAUGA, ON, Sept. 1 /CNW/ - Nissan Canada Inc. (NCI) today released its August sales results with its luxury Infiniti brand recording its eighth-straight monthly increase and best August sales ever, up nearly 30 per cent with 780 units sold. Overall sales for NCI were down 10.3 per cent, with the Nissan brand selling 6,102 units - down 13.7 per cent over the same month last year.
Infiniti's strong August was led by its G family, with 376 units sold, and EX which recorded its best August in history with 206 units sold, up 41.1 per cent from August 2009. Infiniti's new 2011 M and QX also recorded strong sales - with 49 and 42 units sold in August, respectively. Overall, the Infiniti brand enjoyed its best-ever August, making this the eighth consecutive month that Infiniti has increased its monthly sales over 2009.
"With the new 2011 M and QX models, Infiniti has truly raised the bar in the luxury market, offering new levels of inspired performance and technology," said Wendy Durward, Director, Infiniti Canada. "As a brand, Infiniti has exceeded 2009 sales numbers every month this year in Canada and with the announcement of our new G25 and IPL offerings, we expect these results to not only continue, but grow."
Nissan's Armada, Xterra and Titan also recorded best sales months in 2010, up 360, 117.3 and 115.4 per cent, respectively, over August 2009. The popular Rogue was Nissan's leading model selling 1,453 units, up 13.5 per cent from August 2009, followed by Versa and Sentra with 1,281 and 1,110 units sold, respectively.
