Information Bulletin - Trent-Severn Waterway high river flows on Severn River
PETERBOROUGH, ON, July 9 /CNW Telbec/ - The Superintendent of the Trent-Severn Waterway National Historic Site of Canada advises that recent heavy rains have resulted in high river flows on the Severn River.
Mariners are advised to exercise caution when navigating the Severn River as river velocities may make it difficult to control boats and navigation buoys may be out of position or partially submerged. Areas above and below water control dams should be avoided due to strong currents.
Parks Canada is committed to public safety and will continue to monitor and manage water levels along the Trent-Severn Waterway. Further Information Bulletins will be issued if required.
