Infrastructure Ontario Announces Successful Proponents for Project Management Service Providers Français
TORONTO, July 23, 2014 /CNW/ - Infrastructure Ontario (IO) has announced that MHPM Project Managers Inc. and SNC Lavalin O&M have been selected as the Project Management Service Providers (PMSPs) to deliver construction projects for provincially-owned and leased properties across Ontario.
The companies, which were selected through an open procurement process, will deliver project services under contract to IO for assignments valued at between $100,000 and $10 million.
Over the five-year term of the contract, the PMSPs will oversee the delivery of approximately 1,500 construction and improvement projects worth an estimated $180 million annually. These projects involve renovations, repairs, and replacements required to maintain the real estate portfolio or to meet specific program requirements of government ministries and the broader public sector.
Together, MHPM and SNC Lavalin O&M will engage small- and medium-sized Ontario businesses for the provision of products and services to meet the needs of the Ontario government.
"MHPM and SNC Lavalin O&M will play an important role in maintaining provincially-owned infrastructure across Ontario and will support hundreds of businesses across the province," said Toni Rossi, executive vice-president, Real Estate and Lending for IO. "Through this procurement, Infrastructure Ontario has retained the best qualified firms in the industry and will continue to provide maximum value to Ontario's taxpayers."
IO is a Crown agency of the Province of Ontario that works to deliver public benefits through partnerships with the private sector.
