LONGUEUIL, QC, Sept. 1, 2015 /CNW Telbec/ - Innergex Renewable Energy Inc. (TSX: INE) ("Innergex" or the "Corporation") announces that it has received approval from the Toronto Stock Exchange to amend its normal course issuer bid effective September 4, 2015 in order increase the maximum number of common shares that may be repurchased and to implement an automatic purchase plan.
The bid commenced on March 24, 2015 and will terminate on March 23, 2016. The maximum number of common shares that the Corporation may purchase for cancellation will increase from 1,000,000, or approximately 1%, to 2,000,000, or approximately 2% of its issued and outstanding common shares as at March 18, 2015. No other terms of the bid have been amended.
During the period from March 24 to August 31, 2015, the Corporation purchased and cancelled 218,212 common shares, representing 0.2% of its 100,929,613 common shares outstanding at March 18, 2015, at a weighted average price of $10.3921 per share.
In addition, the Corporation has entered into an automatic purchase plan agreement with a designated broker to allow for purchases of its common shares during times when it would ordinarily not be permitted to do so due to self-imposed black-out periods or regulatory restrictions.
