Innisfil only Canadian municipality recognized by international organization

INNISFIL, ON, April 12, 2013 /CNW/ - Innisfil, Ontario was the only Canadian municipality selected by the international organization "Alliance for Innovation" to present at their "Transforming Local Government" (TLG) Conference in Atlanta, Georgia on April 10 - 12, 2013. The Town of Innisfil presented the ideas and methods behind the successful development of their community's strategic plan. The "Alliance for Innovation" recognized Innisfil for successfully capturing their town's hopes and dreams for the future, in the community strategic plan "Inspiring Innisfil 2020". An estimated 500 - 600 attendees, from municipalities across Canada and the United States, discovered different ideas and approaches to improving their municipalities at the conference.
