Innovation: key focus at the third annual Saskatchewan Forum 2014 in Regina
REGINA, May 23, 2014 /CNW/ - The Conference Board of Canada is hosting the third annual Saskatchewan Forum 2014 on May 27-28, 2014 in Regina. The Forum will bring together Canadian, international, provincial, and Aboriginal thought leaders, decision-makers, and influencers to discuss two key themes: Saskatchewan in the Innovation Age, and Skills for an Innovative Workforce.

Saskatchewan is experiencing rapid growth, recently receiving an "A+" in the Conference Board's, "How Canada Performs" Economic report card. Discussion panels at the Forum will address how the province can sustain this growth by helping private and public sectors find innovative approaches to increase productivity, profitability, competitiveness, and making the most of Saskatchewan's human capital. Several Conference Board of Canada researchers will also be sharing current and upcoming research on Saskatchewan's economic and social future on behalf of the Saskatchewan Institute. Some of the key reports being highlighted at the event inlcude: Innovation in Saskatchewan: Theory and Evidence, Positioning Saskatchewan Credit Unions for Growth, Social Outlook for Saskatchewan, and Growing Saskatoon: Saskatoon's Regional Economic Map.
