INQUEST INTO THE DEATH OF DOUGLAS HEAGLE ANNOUNCED

GUELPH, ON, Oct 4 /CNW/ - Dr. Dirk Huyer, Regional Supervising Coroner for Central Region, Guelph Office, today announced that an inquest will be held into the death of Douglas Heagle.
Mr. Heagle, 38 years old, died on February 3, 2009, at the Georgian Bay General Hospital - Midland Site following involvement with the Midland Police Service. An inquest is mandatory under the Coroners Act.
The inquest will examine the events surrounding Mr. Heagle's death. The jury may make recommendations aimed at preventing similar deaths.
The inquest is expected to last three days and to hear from approximately eleven witnesses.
The inquest will begin at 9:30 a.m. on Monday, November 1, 2010, at the Midland courthouse, 605 Yonge Street. Dr. Peter Savage will preside as inquest coroner and Mr. Michael Blain will be counsel to the coroner.
