Inquest into the death of Major Singh Dhadda announced

GUELPH, ON, June 23 /CNW/ - Dr. Dirk Huyer, Regional Supervising Coroner for Central Region, Guelph Office, today announced that an inquest will be held into the death of Major Singh Dhadda.
Mr. Dhadda, 47, died on October 29, 2007, from injuries received during the course of his employment at a construction site in Caledon. An inquest is mandatory under the Coroners Act.
The inquest will examine the events surrounding Mr. Dhadda's death. The inquest jury may make recommendations aimed at preventing similar deaths.
The inquest is expected to last three days and will hear from approximately 10 witnesses.
The inquest will begin at 9:30 a.m. on Monday, July 19, 2010, at the Brampton Provincial Offences Courthouse, 5 Ray Lawson Boulevard. Dr. Shane Teper will preside as inquest coroner and Mr. Rob Fetterly will be counsel to the coroner.
