Dr. Bonita Porter
, Deputy Chief Coroner for Inquests, today announced that an inquest will be held into the death of
Pierre Poulin
.
Mr. Poulin
, 38, died on
May 12, 2006
, from injuries received during the course of his employment at a construction site in Hornepayne. Under the Coroners Act, an inquest is mandatory when a worker dies as a result of an accident occurring at a construction project.
The inquest will examine the circumstances surrounding
Mr. Poulin
's death and the jury may make recommendations aimed at preventing similar deaths.
The inquest is expected to last two days.
The inquest will begin
9:30 a.m.
on
Thursday, November 26, 2009
, at La Place des Arts de Hearst, 75 Ninth Street, Hearst.
Dr. David Legge
will preside as inquest coroner and
Mr. Pierre Payeur
will be counsel to the coroner.
