Inquest into the death of Roger Hill announced

TORONTO, May 26 /CNW/ - Dr. Bonita Porter, Deputy Chief Coroner for Inquests, today announced that an inquest will be held into the death of Roger Hill.
Mr. Hill, 45, died on January 21, 2008, from injuries received during the course of his employment at a mining site in Fort Erie. An inquest is mandatory under the Coroners Act.
The inquest will examine the events surrounding Mr. Hill's death. The jury may make recommendations aimed at preventing similar deaths.
The inquest is expected to last two days and will hear from approximately six witnesses.
The inquest will begin at 9:30 a.m. on Monday, June 28, 2010, at the Welland courthouse, 102 East Main Street, 2nd Floor. Dr. Jack Stanborough will preside as inquest coroner and Mr. Graeme Leach will be counsel to the coroner.
