Inspiring innovation on opening day at HealthAchieve 2010
TORONTO, Nov. 8 /CNW/ - Today, the 86th annual HealthAchieve conference and exhibition opens with a focus on innovation. Looking at ideas from a world-renowned author, global executive, champion of health care and many other Canadian leaders, HealthAchieve will leave delegates seeking new ideas and looking to how old ideas can be improved.
Our official opening kicks off with Harvard Business School professor and best-selling author Clayton Christensen as he shows leaders a new way of thinking about market forces and competitive strategy, spurring them to innovate ahead of the curve. He'll take us inside his latest book, the Innovators Prescription examining the world of innovation in health care.
Elyse Allan, President and CEO of GE Canada will lead our green health care session with a key note address highlighting the impact of GE's 'ecoimagination' concept. Allan will share how ecoimagination is a commitment to solving some of the world's toughest challenges including water and energy management and climate change through the development of technologies that reduce an organization's operating costs and environmental footprint.
During our physician leadership session, the 17th Surgeon General of the United States, and current CEO of Canyon Ranch, Dr. Richard Carmona will lead a discussion on championing health care.
HealthAchieve is North America's largest and most-respected health-care conference and exhibition; shedding light on our health care successes and where we can improve. The show will take place from November 8th to 10th at the Metro Toronto Convention Centre.
