Installation of a boom downstream of Carillon generating station: Water level in the Rivière des Outaouais (Ottawa River) must be lowered temporarily Français
SAINT-JÉRÔME, QC, Aug. 7, 2018 /CNW Telbec/ - Hydro-Québec would like to inform the population that it is currently installing a permanent boom downstream of Carillon generating station, in order to make boaters and anglers aware of the danger zone.
To keep workers and divers safe during the installation, the water level in the Rivière des Outaouais (Ottawa River) will be lowered between the municipalities of Saint-André-d'Argenteuil and Gatineau. This lower water level, which could vary by 10 to 25 centimetres, will be in effect during weekdays only from August 7 to 24.
The river will remain navigable at all times.
Thank you for your understanding.
