Insurance Bureau of Canada hosts PATNET Training in Red Deer
Program trains law enforcement officers investigating vehicle related crime
Red Deer, March 11, 2016 /CNW/ - Insurance Bureau of Canada (IBC) is hosting a 2-day training session in Red Deer. Attended by more than 100 law enforcement officers from Alberta and British Columbia, the session teaches participants how to investigate vehicle –related crime. Insurance fraud is a serious problem costing as much as $1.6 billion a year, and we should all be concerned by the waste of resources that occurs due to the amount of crime, fraud and abuse in the system.
Dan Service, Director of Investigative Services, Western & Pacific with the Insurance Bureau of Canada and Superintendent Scott Tod of the RCMP will be available to the media to discuss the award- winning program and how it has successfully brought together the law enforcement community to reduce auto-theft and fraud.
