MONTRÉAL, July 25, 2019 /CNW Telbec/ - Inter-Dec College joins LaSalle College, which is celebrating its 60th anniversary this year. This alliance, which will take effect immediately, will allow LaSalle College to strengthen its position as a fashion, arts, design and technology leader by improving its program offerings and creating synergies between the schools and programs unique to each institution. Inter-Dec College will thrive under a reinforced administrative and academic structure.
Seeing as Inter-Dec College already offers Beauty, Interior Design, VFX & Game Design and Digital Arts programs, by joining forces with LaSalle College, it will benefit from the support of an established and well-known vocational, collegial and pre-university institution as it continues to grow. The three DEP programs currently at Inter-Dec College: Hairdressing, Aesthetic and Computer Graphics will immediately become part of LaSalle College's program offerings. New and current students who have registered for the Fall 2019 semester will receive a diploma from LaSalle College.
"This partnership with Inter-Dec College was completely natural. Beyond simply sharing the same facilities in Montréal and Laval, the 2 institutions both belong to the LCI Education network, a partnership program that is made up of 23 higher education institutions spread across 5 continents. As with LaSalle College, Inter-Dec College offers programs that are centered around practical training, developing relevant skills for the job market and placing innovation, entrepreneurship and openness to the world at the heart of its education plan," explains Myrianne Collin, General Director for LaSalle College.
"Inter-Dec College is partnering with an educational institution with more than 60 years of know-how, a long-established international reputation and a structure that will allow us to continue to pursue our ambitions, particularly when it comes to attracting more international students. This opens up a whole new world of opportunities for us and will provide new perspectives for our entire community—for our students, our teachers, our employees and our partners," emphasizes Chrystel Jacquot Donnat, General Director for Inter-Dec College.
