TORONTO, May 31, 2017 /CNW/ - Interac Association and Retail Council of Canada (RCC) are delighted to reveal that Sarah Bennett is the recipient of the special Retail as a Career Scholarship of $5,000 funded by Interac Association. Sarah, who will be entering the Bachelor of Commerce program at Queen's University this fall is currently working at Roots Canada Ltd. With this scholarship, she will be able to pursue her studies and realize her career dream of working in the retail industry.
The Retail as a Career Scholarship program is an initiative that honours students working in retail who are entering or enrolled in a retail-related program at a Canadian post-secondary institution.
In addition to her $5,000 award, Ms Bennett and 16 other post-secondary students from across the country will receive scholarships of $1,000 each.

Now in its 14th year, the Retail as a Career Scholarship program has awarded more than $800,000 in scholarship and award benefits. Applicants are evaluated by retail industry experts on academic performance, professional references, and a personal essay.
