International healthcare expert joins T4G Limited
Dennis Young heads up Health & Life Sciences group
HALIFAX and SACO, ME, Aug. 24 /CNW/ - With more than 25 years experience delivering health transformation services around the world, Dennis Young has joined T4G Limited, a project-based technology services company that grows customers' businesses with smart technology solutions.
"Dennis is a strong team builder who is committed to taking T4G's healthcare business to the next level by providing clients with expert advice and innovative solutions," says T4G President Geoff Flood. "He is recognized internationally as a visionary in healthcare process transformation and the implementation of innovative e-health solutions, and we're delighted this native Newfoundlander has chosen to work close to home and join T4G."
In addition to healthcare, tourism & hospitality, energy and financial services in both the public and private sectors are growing portfolios at T4G. Beyond healthcare, Mr. Young has consulting experience in the public sector, oil & gas, and manufacturing and distribution sectors across North America.
"These are exciting times and T4G is an innovative company that is growing in key areas," says Mr. Young, Managing Director, Health & Life Sciences, T4G Limited. "I welcome the challenge to head up this important business unit and work with so many talented people to deliver value to health providers, hospitals and community organizations, insurers, government and regulatory bodies, and life sciences and biotech organizations. In addition, T4G allows me to offer significant insight into the growing health consumer market through their excellence in understanding the needs of the customer."
Mr. Young is based in Halifax with his team delivering to clients across North America. As a member of the senior leadership team of T4G, he will work closely with B.J. Carter, Managing Director, Healthcare, Energy and Government; Mark Fraser, Chief Operating Officer; and T4G President Geoff Flood.
"Dennis and I have worked together over the years and I have always come away impressed by his abilities and take-charge attitude," says Mr. Carter. "I have a mandate to build three key business units of healthcare, government and energy and Dennis is a great fit for healthcare whose expertise and knowledge will help in other areas, too."
This marks the third senior hire at T4G this summer. BC Tourism's former CIO, Nigel Collett, and the former CIO of the state of Maine, Dick Thompson, joined T4G as Principal Consultants.
"It is gratifying to see so much talent and expertise attracted to this company," says T4G's Mr. Fraser, "but it shouldn't surprise given our track record of quality service to clients, partnership with employees and commitment to the communities in which we live and work."
Mr. Young joined T4G from Sierra Systems where he was Director of the Health and Public Sector practice with a focus on Ontario and Atlantic Canada. Prior to that, Mr. Young worked internationally for five years in the UK, the US and the Caribbean managing large public-private partnership projects in healthcare. Prior to this, he was a senior partner and Managing Director of KPMG, where he was responsible nationally for their Health and Public Sector practice, as well as their international foreign aid governance practice and managed their software business dedicated to US State & Local licensing and disability case management. He is a Certified Management Consultant (CMC) and has held board positions on the Information Technology Alliance of Canada (ITAC), the Canadian Information Processing Society (CIPS), and the Canadian National Institute for the Blind.
