International Media Company Selects Group Financial Reporting System From
UNIT4 OCRA
SLIEDRECHT, The Netherlands, Nov. 15 /CNW/ - UNIT4, the world's leading provider of ERP and financial management software for fast changing organizations, today announced Bonnier Group has selected OCRA from UNIT4 to replace an Oracle system as a more cost-effective solution to streamline its financial reporting and activity monitoring.
UNIT4 OCRA, a part of the UNIT4 Group, today announced that Bonnier has chosen the company as its new group financial reporting supplier. Bonnier is a privately owned Swedish media group with 175 companies and around 11,000 employees across 16 countries. Crucial to Bonnier was OCRA's user-friendly solution, an expanded system support and reduced dependence on consultants.
"With the implementation of OCRA, we look forward to a cost-effective, easy to use, powerful solution for our group reporting," says Asa Thunberg, Financial Manager at Bonnier. "The fact that OCRA is a web-based application which is capable of consolidating and reporting on the Bonnier Group's complex organisational structure is also important to Bonnier."
The purpose of changing to OCRA is to achieve greater efficiency, in particular around operation and system maintenance. The new system can also provide Bonnier with improved capabilities for analysis and monitoring, as well as greater transparency in operational and legal reporting. With the move to OCRA, Bonnier is also looking forward to better capabilities for analyzing data and running reports, something that has previously been requested within the Group.
"Bonnier's choice of OCRA confirms the simplicity and effectiveness of our product," says Alar Lange, CEO at UNIT4 OCRA AB. "We are very pleased that Bonnier has chosen OCRA and are looking forward to being a part of the company's global streamlining programme."
OCRA is a tool for group financial reporting, which handles consolidated financial statements, budgeting, forecasting and cash flow. The solution provides strong support for business and financial managers when such activities are to be streamlined.
Bonnier plans to begin the group reporting implementation project in early 2011.
Earlier this year, Bonnier Solutions selected UNIT4's Agresso ERP system. The group is set to replace more than 60 different accounting and payroll administration systems to increase cooperation and gain economies of scale through shared services.
