Intertain Postpones Annual General Meeting

TORONTO, May 30, 2016 /CNW/ - The Intertain Group Limited ("Intertain" or the "Company") (TSX:IT; OTCQX: ITTNF) announced today that it is postponing its Annual General Meeting (the "AGM"), originally scheduled for June 29, 2016.  The AGM will now be held on or before September 23, 2016.  

The Company sought and received approval from the TSX for this postponement in order to allow the Special Committee of the Board of Directors to complete its strategic review process and accommodate any shareholder vote required for a strategic transaction and the election of directors appropriate in the circumstances.  As previously announced, the Special Committee expects to provide a further update on this process no later than the end of June.

The Company will announce the new date and time of the AGM once a final determination has been made, and will disseminate and file meeting materials on SEDAR in accordance with applicable securities laws.
