Interview & Photo Opportunities - New OPP Commissioner to be sworn in

ORILLIA, ON, Aug. 19 /CNW/ - Accredited media are invited to take part in a Change of Command ceremony on August 31, 2010 where newly appointed Ontario Provincial Police Commissioner Chris D. Lewis will be officially sworn in.

During the ceremony, Commissioner (Retired) Julian Fantino will present Commissioner Lewis with the "Tipstaff", an important OPP tradition and symbol of the Office of the Commissioner.

Various government and police officials will be in attendance to witness the official swearing in of the OPP's 13th Commissioner.

Commissioner Lewis will be available for questions following the official ceremony.
