Interview Opportunities & B-Roll Available - Richmond Olympic Oval Architects
VANCOUVER, Feb. 19 /CNW/ - Cannon Design was presented with an enormous challenge - create an elite sport facility that would be environmentally sustainable, meet demanding athletic requirements, remain within fiscal constraints and immovable deadlines and serve as an aesthetic landmark reflective of the City of Richmond and an inspiration for future development. With society's demand for green solutions, prudent fiscal management, and the increasing necessity to avoid post-games obsolescence - venue developers and investors, whether public or private, are searching for new solutions. The iconic Richmond Olympic Oval responds to all of those demands and represents a new approach to building design. It is a prototype for sports venues of the future.
