OTTAWA, Oct. 1, 2012 /CNW/ - The Canadian Red Cross is pleased to announce the completion of over 7,500 new homes for earthquake survivors in Haiti. While the Canadian Red Cross is pleased to share this important milestone, its work in Haiti is far from over. Among several efforts, the Canadian Red Cross continues to work with partners on a $25 million initiative to improve access to health in remote communities. Conrad Sauvé, secretary general and CEO of the Canadian Red Cross, is in Haiti participating in a global health conference and available to speak on Red Cross initiatives to date as well as the next phase of recovery operations.
