INTERVIEW/PHOTO OP: City of Thunder Bay to Bring More Local Food to Region's Public Institutions
THUNDER BAY, ON, Oct. 18, 2012 /CNW/ - The City of Thunder Bay and MPP Bill Mauro will be part of an announcement to bring more local food into the region's public institutions. The funding, distributed by the Greenbelt Fund, is fostering change at the production, distribution and operation levels to increase the use of local food and change food procurement practices. Ten of the City's public institutions will be part of this project to foster collaboration between farmers and foodservice at those institutions.
