Interview/Photo opportunity - Kraft Peanut Butter Bears Spread the Feeling
with Free Hugs at Ontario Place
TORONTO, July 23 /CNW/ - Join Kraft Peanut Butter Bears 'Smoothie' and 'Crunchy' as they give free bear hugs at Ontario Place in an effort to relieve hunger in Toronto. For each hug given, Kraft Peanut Butter will donate one 500 gram jar of Kraft Peanut Butter to Daily Bread Food Bank. For those who can't make it to Ontario Place, help Spread the Feeling online by visiting www.spreadthefeeling.ca to send a virtual hug. Whether it's online or in person, Kraft hopes to generate enough hugs to donate up to 20,000 jars of Kraft Peanut Butter to Daily Bread Food Bank.
Daily Bread Food Bank experiences a steep decline in donations during the summer months when many Torontonians are on vacation. Unfortunately hunger never takes a vacation, which means donations are especially important this time of year. Daily Bread Food Bank has been leading the fight against hunger in Toronto, addressing approximately 73,000 client visits to one of their 171 member agencies every month, 34 per cent of those being children. Peanut butter is an important food product as it is a source of four essential nutrients and is a part of the array of nutritious foods that helps adults and children get the balanced diet they require.
