TORONTO, July 11, 2016 /CNW/ - Freed Developments and Trademark Hospitality Inc. unveil LAVELLE, the highly anticipated rooftop restaurant and pool lounge experience in downtown Toronto. Nestled amongst the bustling King West neighbourhood, LAVELLE is a 16,000 sq. ft. oasis in the sky offering a seamless combination of world class hospitality, design, cuisine, and the best views. The main feature of the space is the 155-foot pool; one of the longest rooftop pools in North America.
LAVELLE was conceived by Peter Freed to exist above his newest condominium development, 629 King Residences. Freed has built over 1,800 condominium units in the King West area including The Thompson Hotel, Fashion House, 75 Portland and 500 Wellington to name a few.
Peter Freed and his partner Reza Abedi, created Trademark Hospitality Inc. to catapult the lifestyle hospitality concept to the top of Toronto's food and beverage industry. They enlisted Rob Montemarano as a partner with LAVELLE who brings over a decade of expertise in the hospitality field.
From day to night, LAVELLE aims to provide unique experiences to suit all moods and cravings. From lounging in a cabana to an elegant dinner or casual brunch. Guests can also enjoy fresh juice in the relaxing garden, cocktail-infused ice cream, and a dip in the pool.
"We were inspired to create a welcoming environment combined with multiple components; and to bring something new and exciting not only to the city of Toronto but to a community we really know and understand," Reza Abedi.
To bring this concept to life, Lionel Ohayon of ICRAVE, an innovation and design studio based in New York, brought his renowned vision to LAVELLE's interior design. Inspired by the vibrant energy of the neighborhood, the design is a playful romp through a surreal playground. LAVELLE embraces the extravagant and evokes feelings of destination and escape. Like scenes from a dream, each space is another step through a journey of ever evolving, unexpected experiences and pleasures.
LAVELLE's meticulously planned, modern French menu involved the expertise of Executive Chef Romain Avril. Romain trained in Michelin-starred restaurants in England and France, and held an executive role at Yorkville's La Société. He has created an enticing menu bringing a collection of international influence and French flair to each dish.
The extraordinary cocktail offering was developed by French luxury vodka brand, Grey Goose. The cocktails deliver a number of Riviera-inspired drink experiences including a unique poolside cocktail, refreshing shareable summer punches, and a Grey Goose infused sorbet.
For those who wish to dip in the water, a pool club membership is required for individual pool access. For a yearly fee, guests will be given a card valid to use seven days a week from 10 AM to 5 PM.
