Quotes
"Our government understands that our cultural and creative sectors are important drivers of both social inclusion and economic growth. These investments demonstrate our commitment to helping arts organizations express their creativity, strengthen our communities and create meaningful opportunities for engagement. We are proud to celebrate the richness and diversity of Victoria's cultural scene."
—The Honourable Steven Guilbeault, Minister of Canadian Heritage
"TouchWood Editions is proud to say that we're supported by Canadian Heritage through the Canada Book Fund, and we are grateful for the investment. This funding has allowed us to adapt to industry challenges, to keep up with rapidly changing technological advancements and thrive in today's publishing markets."
—Taryn Boyd, Publisher, TouchWood Editions Ltd.
"Festivals create deep cultural, traditional and emotional connections within our communities, bringing people together in celebration and camaraderie. As we prepare for the 157th Victoria Highland Games & Celtic Festival over the May long weekend, I'd like to express my appreciation to Canadian Heritage for its continued support. Without this investment, we would not be able to deliver the unique, high-quality programming that anchors this well-loved and much anticipated yearly event in Victoria."
—Jim Maxwell, President, Victoria Highland Games Association
