LAC BROCHET, MB, Aug. 7, 2014 /CNW/ - The Honourable Lisa Raitt, Minister of Transport, today announced that the Government of Canada is investing $971,912 over two years for the rehabilitation of the airside electrical system at the Lac Brochet Airport.
This work will ensure continued airfield visibility and safe airport operations for flight crews, passengers and airport employees.
Funding comes from Transport Canada's Airports Capital Assistance Program (ACAP).

- To date, through ACAP, the Lac Brochet Airport has received over $988,000 in funding for two safety projects, including today's announcement.
- The previous project was the installation of a lighted beacon.
- Since the program started, the Government of Canada has invested more than $631 million for 776 projects at 174 airports across the country.
