In Quebec, more than 245,000 children do not have enough to eat, leading to health problems and problems in school. Feed a child helps build the future of Quebec.
MONTREAL, Aug. 8, 2013 /CNW Telbec/ -A 2009 statistics Canada survey revealed that 14% of Quebeckers face lack of food or the fear of it. This number rises to 33% in the case of single-parent families. In 2012, this represented 245,000 children spending their day in school on an empty stomach.
To help those children, L'OEUVRE LÉGER is launching, in collaboration with Metro, the 18th edition of its Feed a child campaign, which will run from august 15 to September 1st.
