MONTREAL, July 28 /CNW Telbec/ - Leucan invites you on August 3rd at 12:45 p.m. to the Centre de plein air Le Saisonnier in Lac-Beauport to discover the world of the Leucan-CSN Summer Camp. Join the fun and meet with Camie the ladybug mascot, the children of Leucan and their families in a most cheerful and creepy-crawly atmosphere!
This year's theme The World of Insects was chosen to celebrate the 25th anniversary of the Camp. For this special occasion, the renowned star hockey player of the Tampa Bay Lightning, Simon Gagné, will join the party. "This camp is very special! It is the only summer camp in Quebec dedicated to children with cancer and their families. It will accommodate more than 340 participants in its fantastic and unique universe." The 25th edition of the Camp will take place from July 25th to August 6th.
Everyone enjoys precious moments at the Leucan-CSN Summer Camp: children with cancer from all over Quebec-whether they have been recently diagnosed, are under treatment, in remission, cured or facing a recurrence-their siblings and parents, as well as bereaved families. Every week, 60 volunteers ensure the Camp's success by taking tasks as varied as: medical follow-up, technical organization, entertainment, and massage therapy. The scheduled activities are diversified, entertaining, clever and adapted to all age groups as well as to the needs and capacities of all our children.
