through downtown Montreal
MONTREAL, Sept. 27 /CNW Telbec/ - The Co-Chairs of Centraide of Greater Montreal's 2010 campaign, Sophie Brochu, President and Chief Executive Officer of Gaz Métro, and Normand Hébert, Jr., President and Chief Executive Officer of Groupe Park Avenue, as well as Michèle Thibodeau-DeGuire, President and Executive Director of Centraide of Greater Montreal, cordially invite the press to Centraide's March of 1,000 Umbrellas, which will mark the launch of Campaign 2010.
Centraide will launch an appeal to the generosity of the entire community in order to meet the needs of our most vulnerable fellow citizens.
About 20,000 people - donors, volunteers, community workers and leaders of business, the public sector and the trade unions - will march side by side, holding up their umbrellas to show their support for the 360 agencies supported by Centraide. Together, these community resources help over half a million disadvantaged people, forming the largest mutual aid network in Quebec.
