MONTRÉAL, March 26, 2015 /CNW Telbec/ - The general public and media representatives are invited to attend the Second Annual Trottier Symposium on Sustainable Engineering, Energy and Design, taking place at Polytechnique Montréal on March 30th and 31st from 5:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. The presentations will be accessible via simultaneous webcast, in English and French, on the Symposium site.
The 2015 Trottier Symposium seeks to raise public awareness and engagement with the energy choices that Québec and Canada will make in the coming years. The presentation and discussions will expand on the issues raised in the white paper L'Énergie au Québec et au Canada: un document pour engager la conversation (Energy in Québec and Canada: A Conversation Starter).
Symposium participants will have the opportunity to take a stand on various issues, both through a remote voting system using clickers and by asking specific questions during the discussion period.
The Symposium is a forum for members of civil society, universities and the private sector to share ideas about sustainable energy innovation and the development of solutions to help secure the future of energy for Québec and Canada.
Polytechnique Montréal's Institut de l'énergie Trottier (IET) and McGill University's Trottier Institute for Sustainability in Engineering and Design (TISED) are jointly producing this event, which is made possible because of the Trottier Family Foundation's generous support of both institutes.
