Invitation to media - Élisabeth Brière to announce investment to support Cantons-de-l'Est tourism sector

SHERBROOKE, QC, March 31, 2021 /CNW Telbec/ - Canada Economic Development for Quebec Regions (CED)

Élisabeth Brière, Member of Parliament for Sherbrooke and Parliamentary Secretary to the Minister of Economic Development and Official Languages (Economic Development Agency of Canada for the Regions of Quebec), the Honourable Mélanie Joly, invites media representatives to a press conference on Government of Canada support for Productions Traces et Souvenances, a major player in the Cantons-de-l'Est tourism sector.

Tourism is a major economic engine, providing many jobs. The impacts of the pandemic on this hard–hit sector are likely to last for some time still. The Government of Canada is working in collaboration with community stakeholders to boost tourism organizations and prepare them for an eventual recovery.
