Invitation to media - Minister Steven Guilbeault to announce Government of Canada support for 42 organizations in Montréal's East End Français
MONTRÉAL, March 5, 2025 /CNW/ - Canada Economic Development for Quebec Regions (CED)
During the first Sommet de l'Est in 2023, CED committed to investing $30M in Montréal's East End in the coming years. As part of the follow-up to this commitment, the Honourable Steven Guilbeault, Member of Parliament for Laurier–Sainte-Marie and Minister of Environment and Climate Change, will announce Government of Canada financial assistance for economic development in Montréal's East End.
Minister Guilbeault will announce financial contributions to support 21 projects that have economic spin-offs in Montréal's East End, as well as for 21 projects chosen through the call for social innovation projects for Montréal's East End launched by CED in October 2024.
The announcement of these CED financial contributions will be made on behalf of the Honourable Pascale St-Onge, Minister of Tourism and Minister responsible for CED.
