Invitation to media - Press conference by a group of investors for the construction or acquisition and renovation of 1,500 affordable housing units

MONTRÉAL, May 3, 2021 /CNW Telbec/ - Members of the media are invited to a press conference for the announcement of a newly formed group of investors for the construction or acquisition and renovation of 1,500 affordable housing units in Québec.

The following people will speak at the press conference.

• The Honourable Ahmed Hussen, Minister of Families, Children and Social Development (by videoconference)
• The Honourable Pablo Rodriguez, Leader of the Government in the House of Commons
• Andrée Laforest, Québec Minister of Municipal Affairs and Housing
• Chantal Rouleau, Minister for Transport and Minister Responsible for the Metropolis and the Montréal Region (by videoconference)
• Janie C. Béïque, President and CEO of Fonds de solidarité FTQ
• Nathalie Palladitcheff, President and CEO of Ivanhoé Cambridge
• Dominique Frenette, Vice-President, Investment, Lucie and André Chagnon Foundation (by videoconference)

How to participate

The press conference will take place in a hybrid format, meaning that some journalists will be able to attend in person while others will be able to participate remotely.

Only one journalist per media will be able to enter the room. The maximum number of journalists who can attend is set at 10. Of this number, only two cameras for all media outlets will be allowed on site (camera pool), as well as three photographers. Journalists will be asked to show their press card.

Social distancing rules will apply, as well as mandatory mask wearing.

Members of the media can also participate via Zoom, where they will be able to ask questions. The link will be sent by email to reporters (see below).

The press conference will be broadcast on the Facebook page of the Fonds de solidarité FTQ at https://www.facebook.com/FondsFTQ.

Journalists who want to participate must confirm their attendance in writing to the following email address by 9:30 a.m. Tuesday, May 4, 2021: [email protected], specifying whether they wish to attend in person or virtually and receive the press release before the press conference.

Only registered participants will receive a Zoom link.
