The world premiere of an exhibition devoted to Berthe Morisot, Woman Impressionist
Art, painting and life are celebrated through the eyes of a woman ahead of her time.
Berthe Morisot, Woman Impressionist is an exhibition devoted to the outstanding heritage of this genuine pioneer. Berthe Morisot (1841-1895) participated in the creation of the impressionist movement with her contemporaries Monet, Pissarro and Renoir. She is regarded as one of the movement's most innovative, daring artists.
Organized by the Musée national des beaux-arts du Québec, the Barnes Foundation in Philadelphia, the Dallas Museum of Art, the Musée d'Orsay and the Musée de l'Orangerie in Paris, this hitherto unpublished monograph assembles nearly 60 paintings from public and private collections the world over.
You are sure to be enchanted by the elegant, refined paintings, a balm for the soul.
The event is not to be missed!
Interviews are possible at the conclusion of the press visit with:
Christine Conciatori, Director of Exhibitions and Mediation, MNBAQ
Sylvie PATRY, Chief Curator and Deputy Director for Curatorial Affairs and Collections, Musée d'Orsay
Nicole R. MYERS, Nicole R. Myers, the Lillian and James H. Clark Curator of European Painting and Sculpture, Dallas Museum of Art
