MONTREAL, Jan. 30, 2018 /CNW Telbec/ - The Montreal Port Authority (MPA) filed the environmental impact assessment for its major container terminal project at Contrecoeur. The study was made public by the Canadian Environmental Assessment Agency on January 18, 2018.
This is a pivotal event in the progress of this major container terminal project at Contrecoeur that will boost the Port's handling capacity by 1.5 million twenty-foot equivalent units (TEUs). This project aims to support the growth of the container market for Quebec and Eastern Canada, a business segment that has grown nonstop since it began in Montreal 50 years ago.
The MPA invites media representatives to a technical briefing on this major large-scale project and its environmental impact assessment.
