Invitation to the media - Month-long strike at Université de Montréal: the
FAÉCUM and AGEEFEP demand an agreement by the end of this week

MONTREAL, March 29 /CNW Telbec/ - Media representatives are hereby invited to a protest organized by the Fédération des associations étudiantes du campus de l'Université de Montréal (FAÉCUM) and the Association générale des étudiants et étudiantes de la Faculté de l'éducation permanente (AGEEFEP) in front of the Roger-Gaudry building at the Université de Montréal, 2900, boulevard Édouard-Montpetit. Faced with a strike that has lasted more than a month, the students are demanding that management and lecturers engage in intensive discussions in order to reach an agreement by the end of this week.

For more than 30 years, the Fédération des associations étudiantes du campus de l'Université de Montréal (FAÉCUM) has been defending and promoting the rights and the academic, political, social and economic interests of students. Consisting of 82 student associations representing 34,000 members, the FAÉCUM is the largest campus student association in Québec.
As for the AGEEFEP, it represents 10,000-odd students at the Faculty of Continuing Education.
