Invitation to the Media - Minister Mélanie Joly will announce investments for regional development Français
MONTRÉAL, July 23, 2020 /CNW Telbec/ - Canada Economic Development for Quebec Regions (CED)
The Honourable Mélanie Joly, Minister of Economic Development and Official Languages, accompanied by Élisabeth Brière, Member of Parliament for Sherbrooke and Parliamentary Secretary to the Minister for the Economic Development Agency of Canada for the Regions of Quebec, will announce financial investments to support regional development.
The regions of Quebec are full of brilliant entrepreneurs with innovative ideas who develop original solutions to improve the vitality of their communities. These entrepreneurs enhance the local economic fabric by positioning the regions at the core of Quebec's economic ecosystem and of the Canadian economy. Supporting businesses and organizations in regional ecosystems is at the heart of the Government of Canada's priorities.

A question period will follow the announcement. It is mandatory that journalists confirm their participation by forwarding their last name, first name and the name of their media to the following email address by 9:00 am, Friday, July 24, 2020: [email protected] and by specifying whether they will be on site or at a remote location to follow the press conference virtually. A Zoom link will be sent to those who will be in a remote location, to enable them to ask questions following the press briefing.

Individuals who will attend the press conference must not present symptoms similar to those of COVID-19 nor have been in contact with a person who has received a positive diagnosis in the last 14 days. Please note that wearing a face mask is now mandatory in enclosed spaces in Quebec.
