Invitation to the news media - Arrival of the first ocean-going vessel at the Port of Montreal in 2015

MONTREAL, Jan. 1, 2015 /CNW Telbec/ - Ms. Sylvie Vachon, President and Chief Executive Officer of the Montreal Port Authority (MPA), invites the media to accompany the delegation she will lead to extend a warm welcome and best wishes to Captain Anuj Kararia and the crew of the Valencia Express, the first ocean-going vessel to reach the Port of Montreal without a stopover this year.

Flying the Bermuda flag, the Valencia Express is a container ship operated by the Hapag-Lloyd line, represented in Montreal by the agent Robert Reford. The Valencia Express left the Port of Lisbon in Portugal on December 22^nd, 2014, and crossed the Port of Montreal's downstream limits at Sorel today at 00:06 a.m.
