MONTREAL, Jan. 1st, 2017 /CNW Telbec/ - Ms. Sylvie Vachon, President and Chief Executive Officer of the Montreal Port Authority (MPA), invites the media to accompany the delegation she will lead to extend a warm welcome and best wishes to Captain Danel Ju and the crew of the Chem Sirius, the first ocean-going vessel to reach the Port of Montreal without a stopover this year.
Flying the Liberia flag, the Chem Sirius is a chemical tanker operated by Ace Tankers CV, represented in Montreal by SMK Tanker Agency. The Chem Sirius left the Port of Antwerp in Blegium, on December 24, 2016, crossed the Port of Montreal's downstream limits at Sorel today at 03:16 a.m., and completed its route at Pier 57 (Racine terminal) at the Port of Montreal, the cargo being destined for the Vopak company.
