Iogen More Than Doubles Cellulosic Ethanol Production

OTTAWA , Jan. 11 /CNW Telbec/ - Iogen Corporation today announced that its cellulosic ethanol production in 2009 topped 581,000 litres, more than doubling the firm's 2008 fuel production, and surpassing the one million litre mark in cumulative production since 2004.

Cellulosic ethanol is a renewable, advanced biofuel that can be used in today's cars. It can reduce green house gas emissions (GHGs) by up to 90% compared to gasoline. It is one of the most cost effective means of reducing GHGs in transportation.
