LONDON, March 19, 2015 /CNW/ - A global audience is set to attend the Institution of Occupational Safety and Health's (IOSH) annual conference this year.
Delegates from more than a dozen countries have already booked their places at IOSH 2015, the must-attend event of the year for the occupational safety and health sector.
The conference has already attracted bookings from across the UK, Ireland and Europe, as well as from delegates based in America, Australia and New Zealand, South America, Africa and the Middle East.
IOSH Events Manager Colette Norman said: "IOSH 2015 is the must-attend event of the year for anyone working within occupational safety and health. With over 50 internationally renowned speakers confirmed and a host of networking opportunities in store, it's great to see delegates from all over the world getting in early to secure their place."
IOSH 2015 will take place at ExCeL London on 16-17 June, with this year's theme focussed around Leadership in action - Shaping the future of occupational safety and health.
Speakers set to address delegates have spoken of their excitement at appearing at IOSH 2015, and outlined why they think professionals should attend.
Steve Howells, Head of HSSE at Thames Tideway Tunnel, said: "Our conference is the go-to event for health and safety professionals, not only in the UK but in Europe and the wider world. It's where we go to meet our peers and understand what great initiatives and programmes are being developed that we can take on board."
Another confirmed speaker, Ian Cooke, Programme Manager for Health, Safety and Environment at International Workplace, said: "You get the opportunity to network, attend conferences, update yourself and obviously the exhibitions, but it's really about supporting the discipline.
"I think attending shows commitment to the discipline of health and safety. You are part of a wider social fabric of safety professionals and it's great just to talk through ideas with other people, and talk through the challenges that we face."
For the second year running, the IOSH conference will run alongside the Safety & Health Expo, which itself will take place at ExCeL London from 16-18 June.
An early bird discount on entry for IOSH 2015 closes on Friday 20 March. For more details about the conference and booking a place, visit http://www.ioshconference.co.uk.
