Iowa Lottery's Game Book Named as a Finalist for NASPL's Best New Instant Game Award

WINNIPEG, Sept. 24, 2013 /CNW/ - Pollard Banknote Limited (TSX: PBL) ("Pollard Banknote") is proud to recognize and congratulate the Iowa Lottery for the exceptional achievement of having its Game Book ticket nominated as a finalist in the Best New Instant Game category by the North American Association of State and Provincial Lotteries ("NASPL"). Launched in January 2013, the Iowa Lottery's Game Book was its first-ever Pollard PlayBook®, and went on to become one of the most successful instant scratch games in the Lottery's 28-year history.

The NASPL Awards recognize the most outstanding contributions to the North American lottery industry during the past year. The winner of Best New Instant Game, chosen from 13 entries, will be announced at NASPL's annual conference held in Providence, Rhode Island from October 1 to 4, 2013. Entries are judged by a team of Senior Managers representing this year's host lottery—the Rhode Island Lottery—and are based on various criteria, including innovative aspects of the game, cost/benefit analysis results, strategic analysis and insight, visual appeal, and ease of play.
