Iowa Lottery's Game Book Named NASPL's Best New Instant Game

WINNIPEG, Oct. 4, 2013 /CNW/ - Pollard Banknote Limited (TSX: PBL) ("Pollard Banknote") applauds the Iowa Lottery on the remarkable achievement of having its Game Book awarded Best New Instant Game by the North American Association of State and Provincial Lotteries ("NASPL"). The Iowa Lottery's Game Book—a patented Pollard PlayBook® which brings multiple games together in a unique booklet format—has not only become one of the most successful instant scratch games in the Lottery's history with a sales index of 226, but has now been recognized as an outstanding contributor to the North American lottery industry over the last year.

The winner of the Best New Instant Game category was chosen from 13 entries and announced on Thursday, October 3, 2013, at NASPL's annual conference held in Providence, Rhode Island. A group of Senior Management representing the Rhode Island Lottery—this year's host lottery for the annual conference—evaluated each entry based on various criteria and deemed the Game Book the most deserving of this year's award. A wide range of features were considered by judges, including innovative aspects of the game, cost/benefit analysis results, strategic analysis and insight, visual appeal, and ease of play.
