IRESS Announces Co-Location with Chi-X Canada

Dual 'hot-swappable' data centres offer 'door step' access

TORONTO, March 1 /CNW/ - IRESS Market Technology Canada LP, a member of the corporate group of IRESS Market Technology Limited, today announced it will soon be co-located with Chi-X Canada.

As it recently announced, Chi-X Canada will, by the end of the second quarter, relocate its primary data centre to Switch and Data's Front Street facility in Toronto, which is one of IRESS Canada's existing hot-swappable data centre locations.

IRESS Canada's dual 'hot/hot' primary data centres offer immediate and fully functional failover protection. When coupled with IRESS's strategy of utilizing diverse carrier connectivity, the IRESS meshed data infrastructure provides full business continuity protection with no single point of failure.

By co-locating within this facility, which will also serve as the hub for Chi-X Canada's new ultra low-latency trading ecosystem, IRESS customers are ensured even lower-latency, "door step" access to Chi-X Canada's core matching engine.
