Sunday, March 16: St. Patrick's Day Parade (media can set up anywhere along the parade route, east of Avenue Road):
WHAT: | Nearly one hundred floats, bands and marching groups from Toronto's Irish community and a variety of cultural groups. The parade is a colourful celebration of all things Irish and the diversity that makes Toronto great! The Toronto Paramedic Association and Emergency Medical Services are marching in the parade and will collect non-perishable food items from spectators along the route for the Daily Break Food Bank. |

WHEN: | 12:00 p.m. on Sunday, March 16 (starting from Bloor Street at St. George Ave). The parade is expected to take an hour and a half to pass any given point along the route. | |
WHERE: | The parade route starts on Bloor Street at St. George Avenue then heads east along Bloor until Yonge Street. It turns south on Yonge Street and continues until Queen Street where it makes a final turn to head west and finish in front of Nathan Phillips Square. |
About the Toronto St. Patrick's Day Parade
The Toronto St. Patrick's Day Parade is a celebration of St. Patrick, Ireland and Canada, which incorporates Toronto's various cultural groups. The parade has been organized by the Toronto St. Patrick's Parade Society since 1988; it is run entirely by volunteers with generous support from sponsors and partners.
