Isabelle Hudon appointed President, Sun Life Financial for Quebec, to support
the Company's growth strategy
MONTREAL, Aug. 9 /CNW/ - Sun Life Financial Inc. (TSX/NYSE: SLF) announced today that Isabelle Hudon has been appointed President, Sun Life Financial for Quebec, to advance the Company's growth plans in the province. Ms. Hudon officially joins the Company as of today working from the Sun Life Financial offices in Montreal.

Ms. Hudon brings over twenty years of experience on the Quebec business scene to Sun Life. Most recently, Ms. Hudon was president of Marketel, and her prior role was president and chief executive officer of the Board of Trade of Metropolitan Montreal from 2004 to 2008. She formerly held communications positions with Bell Global Solutions, the Canadian Space Agency and BCE Media, in addition to roles in various federal offices and departments. Dynamic, passionate and dedicated, Ms. Hudon was named one of Canada's Top 40 under 40 (the 40 most successful Canadians under the age of 40) in 2005 and was recognized in 2006 as one of the most influential women in Canada by Canada's Most Powerful Women: Top 100.(TM)
She chairs the boards of directors of the Université du Québec à Montréal, the Société du Havre de Montréal and the Collectif de festivals montréalais and she also sits on the boards of Aéroports de Montréal and Holt Renfrew Canada. In June 2009 she was appointed to the board of the International Institute for Sustainable Development.
